Description: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER.  The Acquire Connection method call to the connection manager ".\inst1.ServiceReportingDB" failed with error code 0xC0209303

Solution: Please follow the below step to resolve the issue.
You do it individually by clicking on the connection and editing the Connection String property, or bulk edit .dtsx files with Find/Replace.


Provider=sqlncli.10.1

with

Provider=sqlncli11

Solution: Ensure to follow the below step.
1.   If you are using 2008 or later you can try the below steps

Set the DelayValidation field to "TRUE"

2.   If you are using 2005 you can try Install hotfix from the below link

Server Error in '/' Application.

Cannot connect to the configuration database. 


Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. 

Exception Details: Microsoft.SharePoint.WebPartPages.WebPartPageUserException: Cannot connect to the configuration database.

Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Solution: Ensure to follow the below to get rid of the error.

1.   Ensure that the SQL services are up and running.

2.   Ensure that the SQL services configured with the correct credentials.
3.   Ensure that the Farm account has below roles in DB server.

·        DB creator
·        Security admin
